Remba Engraving
Remba is a high performance concrete and an engraving technique especially designed for the creation of permanent in ground markers in stone or concrete pavers.
It represents a longer lasting alternative to ground painting and eliminates long term care and upkeep. In addition, its insertion at the same level of the stone or concrete eliminates all accumulations of unsightly debris in the in ground engravings.
> Minimum thickness of concrete filling in the substructure: 3 mm (1/8'')
> Minimum lettering height: 15 mm (5/8’')
> Minimum width of a line: 2 mm (3/32'')
Stainless Steel Inlay
With solid anchors, the stainless steel is recessed into stone and bonded with an industrial adhesive.
This adhesive has been especially designed to ensure metal bonding.
> Stainless steel's minimum thickness: 3 mm (1/8’’)
> Minimum lettering height: 38 mm (1 1/2’’)
> Minimum anchors diameter and length: 3 mm (1/8'') dia. X 13 mm (1/2'') long
Sandblast Engraving
The most often used engraving technique due to its ability to lend itself to the majority of typeset and all surface finishes. It also allows for use of small fonts and photographic reproductions.
It can be used with or without paint, but the application of paint is generally suggested to enhance visibility.
> Minimum engraving depth: 1.5 mm to 3 mm + (1/16’’ to 1/8’’ +)
> Minimum lettering height: from 12 mm to 18 mm (1/2'' to 3/4'') for standard fonts (without serif) and 25 mm (1'') for stylised fonts (with serif)
